Mise-en-scene: Recreation task

My scene is a recreation of the comedy-drama TV programme called "The End of the F****ing World" https://youtu.be/jUH9VXEbBn4 Costume: Leila in the clip is wearing a hoodie just like Alyssa is in the scene to represent possibly simple teenage fashion.  Lighting: For lighting we just used basic natural lighting to emphasise the fact that she is outside on the grass just like the original scene.  Actor placement: Leila is positioned in the centre of the scene just like the protagonist to present that the focus is on her and that she is the main character. Make-up: We had Leila have her hair sort of sprawled on the floor to present that she is lying on the ground. Props: There aren't really any props in this scene.  Setting; We've set this scene underneath a tree outside in a grassy area to replicate the original and had Leila lie down on the grass just like Alyssa did in the scene.  Script: "I get these moments where i have to lie down because everything feels so

However her facial expressions signify that she is frightened and anxious possibly by the phone call she is having. We can't see much of the setting however we can see the setting has only neutral tones so that the audience focuses on her than the setting. The use of the prop of the phone reinforc

Film Poster Analysis

Image
The film poster features a Male character who is portrayed to be the protagonist/hero due to his serious facial expression as well as the white light shining behind his face interpreting to the audience that he is the Hero in this film. In addition his face being positioned in the centre of the film poster brings the audiences attention to him. Him also carrying a weapon in his hands reinforces this role as well as the stereotype that all men are viewed as heroes when they show an act of violence. On the contrary, the female character is portrayed to be the villain as in the 90's it was a common stereotype to present women who are smoking cigarettes as an evil character not only this but in comparison to the male protagonist she is surrounded by a dark colour scheme and is positioned behind the male character as if to present her as sneaky. Based on this the film contains Binary opposition roles with possibly a resolution in the end. I also can interpret that this film may featu
